Late one saturday, Colleen's boy friend suggested going out to the same bench where they had first kissed.
It was a bright and starry night. The moon had just risen from the sea.
They watched the sea in wonder. And then the incredible happened. From a fine mist close to the shore, they saw delicate, filigraned forms arising into the air.
"Can you see them?" asked Colleen. "Hush, they mustn't know that we're watching them."
And now the fairies began their dance, over the waves washing to the shore. Colleen rested her head on her friend's shoulder. She never felt better in all her life.
